Want to have fun and enhance your health and well being? We have one-to-one training with a certified personal trainer and exercise plans that are designed to improve fitness levels and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Your friend wants to become more active? Bring them too!

Individuals who participate in Personal Training gain increased self-confidence to initiate and sustain positive health habits. Surrounded by a community of support and meaningful relationships, Healthy Lifestyles and Wellness Coaching participants create personalized, realistic health goals and make progress in achieving long-term change that will last the rest of their lives.

NUTRITION COUNSELING

You can now receive Nutrition Counseling at the Bloomsburg Area YMCA!

When you are sick, you go to the doctor. When you have a toothache, you go to the dentist. Where do you turn when you are concerned that your diet is inadequate or holding you back from being your best self? Many insurance companies do not cover nutrition counseling as a benefit, but the Y will now be offering a variety of options that are accessible and affordable for all members of our community.

Whether you’ve just started your weight loss journey, feel like you’ve hit a plateau in your goals, or are looking to maximize your intense training at the gym with diet, registered dietitian, Sarah Dayton, is here to provide support. She will help you make long and short term goals together, that are about so more than the number on the scale.

Options include one-on-one counseling and Training for Two. Training for Two doesn’t need to be a traditional couple! (Think roommate, training partner, parent and child, adult with elderly parent, etc).

Rates and deals are the same as Personal Training. Every package comes with a free one hour intake session.

Training/Nutrition Counseling Rates

Every personal training package comes with a free pre-training intake session to help your trainer get to know you, where you’re starting, and where you hope to go with Personal Training or Nutrition Counseling.

30 Minute Sessions

  • 1 session – $20 member / $30 nonmember
  • 5 sessions + 1 bonus session – $90 member / $150 nonmember
  • 10 sessions + 2 bonus sessions – $180 member / $300 nonmember

60 Minute Sessions

  • 1 session – $35 member / $50 nonmember
  • 5 sessions + 1 bonus session – $180 member / $300 nonmember
  • 10 sessions + 2 bonus sessions – $350 member / $500 nonmember

Are your trainers certified?

Yes! Our trainers are certified through the NCCA-accredited organization or have earned a BS as an exercise physiologist from an accredited institution.

Do you specialize in any particular type of program?

All of our trainers have a broad range of knowledge, and depending on your goals, we will partner you with the appropriate trainer.

How often should I meet with a personal trainer?

The answer to this question will vary depending on your specific goals. Once you have met your trainer, they will discuss your goals and help you establish your session frequency.

How do I pay for my appointments?

All training sessions and packages should be purchased at the member service desk. Trainers are not allowed to accept any money or checks from members.
