Philosophy and Goals
The YMCA is committed to serving families and developing the whole child through Spirit - Mind - Body. Our Y Care Program acts as an extension to each family by providing support to both children and families during program hours. U Care provides quality programs for children in a healthy, caring, and safe environment.
Program Activites
Children enrolled in our Y Care Program are encouraged to participate in a variety of activites. Large motor activites enhance physical fitness, encourage sportsmanship and promote cooperative learning. Using a variety of art resources, participants will also be encouraged to explore their creativity. Y Care also offers time for children to work on homework. For after school appetites, the YMCA will provide a nutritious snack each day.
Staff
Our staff is concerned about each individual and strives to provide safe and fun experiences for all. Children are encouraged to participate, develop ideas, and most of all have fun! All staff are certified in CPR/First Aid, Fire Safety, Child Abuse Prevention, and Emergency Plans. Aol staff are also required to obtain a Child Abuse and Criminal Background Clearance.
Enrollment
Enrollment is open to any child beginning at Kindergarten. The Bloomsburg Area YMCA will not be able to provide transportation for children outside of our school sites. If your child is from an outside school district special arrangements may be made. In such cases parents must request transportation from the outside school district. The decision to provide such transportation is solely that of the school district.

All day care will be held at the Bloomsburg Area YMCA on in-service days, holidays, and when school is canceled for inclement weather with exceptions.

Registration is ongoing throughout the school year depending on space availability.
Your registration will be completed when:
$20.00 registration fee is collected (Non-Members only)
Registration packet comleted
Your YMCA programs fees are paid up to date
All sites are State Licensed.
Y Care is a proud participant in the Keystone Stars Program.
Financial assistance available.
Holiday care is available during Fair Week and Christmas Break. Please call YMCA for details.
